This PME liquid glucose is a key ingredient for lots of items in the cake decorating world. It is a clear, colourless gel-like liquid, with a subtle, sweet taste. It is used as an ingredient to make sugarpaste, gumpaste, and if mixed with candy melts, can be used to create modelling chocolate!
This product can be used in place of corn syrup. A lot of recipes (especially those written in the USA) call for corn syrup, and glucose liquid can be used instead!
Glucose liqud can also be used to soften icing, create a softer crumb where flour is used in cake recipes, and can thin down royal icing to prevent it from setting too firm.
With a screw-on lid, you can reseal this and use it whenever you need to!
